A lack of clarity, confidence, and vision for what my business could be was holding me back. Big time.
But then, something clicked.
Maybe it was in the early stages of running your business. Remember how exhilarating it was to get that business off the ground in the first few months? Remember when you booked those first handful of clients? If you're anything like me, you probably celebrated by dancing around your living room, feeling equal parts awe & shock that someone would actually pay you to live out your passion? Ahh...those were the good old days.
Then, as the years went on, you lost that energy you had at the beginning. You lost that spark.
Well, friend, I'm here to help you reignite it.
I was in the trenches of the day-to-day tasks that all of us, as business owners, get sucked into. But with each passing day, that spark I felt so strongly at the beginning was starting to fade.
I realized that it was because I felt like an imposter. And even worst, I felt aimless in my business. What were my goals? At the end of the day, what did I want out of my business?
In the early months of 2020, I sat down at a coffee shop with a pen and paper and listed out all of my dreams for my business. All of my hopes, all of my goals. And I created a plan.
Now, in 2021, I can look back at the past year and know that did everything in my power to elevate myself within the industry. I'm charging more than double what I was charging a year ago, I'm working with my absolute dream clients, and I feel a huge sense of purpose and fulfillment within my business.
And I want to walk you through the steps I took to get here.
My wedding cinematography business was born out of needing an identity outside of motherhood. My daughter had just turned one, and like many new moms, I felt like something was missing.
A month later, and my cinematography business was born. Those first 2 years flew by like a whirlwind. And in hindsight, maybe that's because less than 1 year into running my business, my second daughter was born. So there I was: running a business while taking care of a toddler and a newborn, full time. Talk about busy.
